Letha M. Nussbaum
Letha M. Nussbaum, age 97, of Massillon, OH, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Amherst Meadows following a sudden illness. She was born August 20, 1907 in Minerva, OH to Freeman S. and Ruth (Crowl) Gallatin and resided in Massillon most of her life. She was a 1926 graduate of Washington High School. Letha was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and had served as the Director of the Children's Dept. for over 50 years; and was also a member of the church Quilting Bee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gillis H. Nussbaum, September 4, 1978. She is survived by daughters, Lois J. Osborne and Shirley J. (Russell) McFarren, both of Massillon; sister, Ruby Cook Baldauf of Massillon; grandchildren, Bradley and Rodney McFarren, Linda and Scott Osborne, and Alan (April) Osborne; and three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. Larry Snodgrass officiating. Friends may call one hour before the services. Interment will be in Sixteen Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to North Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department.
